Nathan is a lover of learning and teaching. He first started teaching ESL adult students at age fourteen. Since that time, Nathan has experience tutoring students one-on-one to succeed in their competitive academic classes in Irvine. With honors, Nathan graduated from Saddleback Christian Academy and attends Concordia University Irvine on a full-ride academic Presidential scholarship, majoring in History and Political Thought. In high school, Nathan was a speech and debate national champion; he currently participates in debate at the collegiate level. Nathan joined the LDT Tutoring team in the spring of 2019. He is enthusiastic to help students conquer the SAT/ACT and open up their doors to opportunities.
When not involved in schoolwork or extracurriculars, Nathan enjoys relaxing by reading. Some of his favorite books are classic stories like Les Miserables, Frankenstein, and The Lord of the Rings. He has participated in theater, performing pieces from Shakespeare and The Diary of Anne Frank. Finally, for fun, Nathan loves playing strategy board games of all different types with his family and friends.
Nathan is available ACT writing (essay) tutoring appointments. He offers in-home or online sessions and may be reached at Nathan@laurademkotutoring.com.
